Job Description
Tennessee State registered and licensed Dental Assistant (RDA) that has orthodontic experience. Knowledge of Ortho-Ease is a plus. Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is a licensed dental professional who performs many tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills. Although state regulations vary, responsibilities may include: Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, taking and developing dental radiographs (X-rays)asking about the patient’s medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse, serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment, helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment, providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling), teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth-brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling), taking impressions of patients’ teeth for study casts (models of teeth) performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies) helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and oral surgery

Dental lab technician should have good vision and a high degree of manual dexterity. Dental lab technician must also have an eye for detail and precision in everything that they do.

Job Description
Dental Office Manager/Administrator is responsible for all staffing issues for the dentist(s). Places ads, does pre-interviews, narrows the field to the best two to three applicants for the dentist(s) to do a final interview. He/she manages all staff requests for time off and also helps staff navigate his/her compensation package if given the authority by the doctor. Keeps personnel files on every employee under lock and key which includes a list of required-by-law items as well as application for employment forms, staff evaluations, reprimands, etc. The Manager may oversee payroll records: paychecks are distributed on time, that the time cards are monitored and verified before each check, and work with a payroll service or designated person to assure all proper taxes are withheld and taxes are filed on time without penal-ties. They arrange all staff meetings (even though facilitating is shared by all dentists and staff.) They arrange staff evaluations and CE for dentists and staff. He/she is responsible for all internal and external marketing efforts to build or maintain a healthy new patient flow. Also is in-charge of keeping the practice overhead at a comfortable level to assure growth of the net income of the practice year after year. Budgeting includes technology, supplies, facility maintenance and upgrades, staffing costs, and marketing costs. They are also expected to keep certain issues and office business strictly confidential. The doctor has a strong degree of trust in this person.
